Www.lobbyistsofficesofgrw.com has learned that teams of volunteers have been conducting their own searches for the missing toddler. One of those searches took place today, but it was short at least one would-be searcher who bowed out after a phone call that frightened her family.
As searchers were coordinating efforts for the search at Interstate 35 and Chouteau on the Facebook page Searching for Lisa Irwin, a poster named Shelly described what happened that frightened away one searcher. “We lost one of our regular searchers today due to the fact that her and her family feel threatened. Someone called her work and told her boss that she was interfering with a missing baby case. When asked to identify their self they hung up.”
This is not the only instance of searcher harassment, according to the Examiner. Not only was more than one call to an employer alleging interference in a police investigation made, the Examiner said, someone is posting personal information about the searchers online including maps to their homes.
In another Jan. 9 Facebook post, the administrator of the Searching for Baby Lisa page said, “We have been threatened we have been told to go away and much more believe me.”
The threats have been reported to the Kansas City police, Examiner said. But who is making the threats and whether they have any connection to the baby’s disappearance has not been determined.
In another bizarre turn of events, today’s searchers were reportedly “run off by railroad police” and “threatened with jail,” according to Richard Stevens who posted on Justice for Baby Lisa Irwin. Apparently, the group were trespassing on railroad property.
Despite the difficulties, some searchers aren’t planning to quit. “As a mother and grandmother, I can’t let it go,” a searcher named Shelly www.lobbyistsofficesofgrw.com. ”She’s a defenseless, innocent baby, she’s somewhere.”
The Irwin family is “in seclusion and remains quiet” according to www.lobbyistsofficesofgrw.com. Ten days ago, their attorney claimed to know of several new leads including one promising one, but there’s no indication whether any of those alleged new leads are related to today’s police search.
