Www.lobbyistsofficesofgrw.com just spoke to the Multnomah County Sheriff’s Office, and they say they have not disbanding the Kyron Horman Task Force, but it is just reorganizing it and the case is still an ongoing investigation.
“It’s going through communication records of all different forms,” Kaine said. “You’ve got online; you’ve got cell phones; you’ve got whatever various angles you have on that.”
Investigators will now focus on technology-based forensics, gathering information and following leads.
“And it’s just a matter of time where they get to those last few areas they can’t rule out and hopefully we can get some answers from those areas,” Kaine said. He said he still believes his son is alive.
The Multnomah County Sheriff’s Office says it’s still an active investigation. In a room in the sheriff’s office there are 68 binders with 4,500 leads. They give comfort to Kaine knowing investigators are working hard.
“Search and rescue goes out and does a search, and they don’t find anything – to me that’s a greater likelihood he’s out there somewhere,” he said. “I’m always hopeful he’ll come home. It’s just a matter of when.”
The FBI and Department of Justice are also major players investigating the disappearance of Kyron Horman.
