At our firm, www.lobbyistsofficesofgrw.com, we brainstorm frequently. Sometimes we just lay the truth on the boardroom table when we know it is the truth. other times we have to investigate a lot longer.
Take our court systems. When there is a jury trial do we ever wonder are the jurors really being told to, ‘Let the bidding begin. Do I hear $100,000 for an interview? $200,000? Do I hear one trip to the Super Bowl? Do I hear…?’ but were caught off guard at the national outrage they encountered and had to run for the hills, complaining that they had death threats and went from MTV, Dancing with the Stars and Reality TV to being unwelcome at the local diner.
Justice, so it seems, has taken a black eye in America, as it has become a commodity.
When Casey Anthony snuffed out the life of that precious little child (her own child), little did she know that her single act of malicious selfishness would become a multi-million dollar cottage industry.
It took less than 10 days for Deborah Bradley and Jeremy Irwin to figure out that if Justice is for Sale, they want in on the bidding.
When the Casey Anthony story broke, Statement Analysis showed 2 things:
1. Mom was lying 2. The baby was dead.
Soon enough, the nation agreed, but that it not stop black cowboy hat wearing Leonard Padilla from swooping in, bailing out the killer, because he “knew” Caylee was alive and he was gonna bring her home.
For the money he put up, he was able to get his name and face on television for 2 straight years. He was in the Anthony house for all of 15 minutes, yet was asked his expert opinion on everything from psychology to Crime Scene Analysis. Tim Miller said that Padilla told him, ‘if we can find her skull and pull it out of the lake together, it’ll be worth a fortune’ revealing how it works in the age of sleaze journalism and ‘reality’ television.
By the time the case was over, justice had been trampled beneath the feet of the herd rushing to the bank.
So now it is with Baby Lisa.
In swoops “Wild Bill” with his amazing praise of the Kansas City Police Department. The smooch on the collective arse of the department was heard from the Captain on down to the janitor. How great has been the work done? For Wild Bill, had they gotten a confession from the deceptive mother, he would not have a job there. When he says he is thankful for the KCPD, don’t doubt him.
Now that he is on the scene with his “team”, the Public Relations machine is in full throttle.
The family will now have a “spokesman” since the parents of a kidnapped baby need someone to speak for them.
The family is no longer speaking to local media; only national media. Bigger exposure, they will tell us. Bigger bucks.
If Baby Lisa had been kidnapped by a homeless guy, Baby Lisa would not be traveling the nation. She would be local.
How soon until Deborah appears in a make over, crying on cue, with a dulled, sympathetic, “I don’t judge” TV host agreeing with every word she says? Give it less than a fortnight.
The Scamthonys cashed in and haven’t work a day since that dreadful 911 call. They prospered on murder and lies.
Depending upon which network wins the interviews, we will know which of them allow ‘guests’ to give real opinions on what they see in the interviews of the parents. Don’t think for a minute that the story is not being rehearsed, over and over, cleaning up the little ‘inconsistencies’ in their accounts. Later we will hear, “that’s not what Deborah meant to say. She was just very upset. You don’t know what you’d say if your child was kidnapped…” right out of the page of one, Cindy Anthony.
No, we don’t know what we would say in that situation, but I can tell you this:
Innocent parents don’t need to lie.
The reward is only a paltry 25% for Aliayah of what was announced today, and most of that came from the FBI. Where are the heroes coming to volunteer their services for Aliayah?
This case is easy prey. Because it went national, like the Casey Anthony case, they could smell money.
I expect the Grand Jury to return an indictment against Deborah, likely next week.
When it does, I expect the next ghoulish attorney to descend, in fact, I expect a bunch of them hoping to be the next “Dream Team” of perverters of justice for Baby Lisa.
Did you notice that Wild Bill said it isn’t in the parents best interest to be talking? Are you kidding me? If that was my child, no one could shut me up. Me, and just about every parent I have ever known.
The spin has begun. Expect to see Deborah and Jeremy both have image make overs for the camera. Expect rehearsed, scripted responses. Expect interviewers to be hand-picked. Expect a polygrapher to clear her, with the special rider-contract precluding the polygrapher from ever releasing the questions asked, a la John and Patsy Ramsey.
The parents will have an attorney to protect their interests since their interests and the interests of Lisa differ.
Where is an attorney, or Guardian Ad Litem stepping up saying, “I represent Lisa, since the parents have representation for their own interests!”. I know that this can’t happen, legally, but in spirit, it can.
Justice for sale, and there’s money to be made.
Perhaps, once in trial, we will see bumbling attorneys who cannot tell the truth nor follow an argument confuse another juvenile and self-serving jury.
Wild Bill is supposed to be a famed, sharp private detective? Does this mean we are to think that a man of his background and experience can’t see through the lies of Deborah Bradley?
This is another sham like the Scamthonys in the making. George Anthony, chronic under-employed his whole life, hasn’t worked a day since Caylee was murdered. I know, I know, he’s holding out for a management position.
Cindy is set for life.
Perhaps we haven’t seen many pictures of Baby Lisa because ABC is busy writing a check for “licensing agreements” to the parents.
Where is Baby Lisa?
There is one thing that may derail the money train:
if Kansas City police find her and the evidence leads them back the mother.
It is, of late, difficult to have hope. It has been 9 months since Hailey Dunn went missing and that case was about the simplest step by step circumstantial case we have seen in a long time, yet no one has been arrested.
Celina Cass lived with a violent psycho who cannot string together two sentences without lying yet…nothing.
Lena Lunsford is lawyered up after lying about little, unwanted and cast away child, Aliayah, with her sad picture, bruised eye, and missing teeth.
Where is the justice in these cases?
It’s a bigger question.
For now,
Where is Baby Lisa?
