KANSAS CITY, MO -
Ms. Dorothy L. Savory is an attorney who works hard to protect the constitutional rights of each of her clients. Ms. Savory understands the helplessness and fear that her client, Mr. Darrel White and his brother are experiencing. Ms. Savory strongly urges the Circuit Court of Jackson County and the Jackson County Prosecutor’s Office not to punish her client, Mr. Darrel White or any witness, for her reasonable trial strategies. Her client is innocent of the charge of taking a purse.
Ms. Savory only desired to help circumvent a common practice of sending the wrong man to prison.
The current situation being faced by the parties in the case of State of Missouri v. Darrel White is the first time Ms. Dorothy L. Savory has experienced a court hearing such as this, in which the complaining witness, under oath, identifies a person who has a drastically different skin complexion, height, weight and hairstyle than the defendant.
Even so, Ms. Savory is prepared to accept any consequences for her inactions and actions. Ms. Savory believed that the trial strategy she used was deemed reasonable at the time of the preliminary hearing on Wednesday, December 14, 2011 in Division 26 of the Circuit Court of Jackson County in Kansas City, Missouri.
