Introduction: This directory was developed in response to a perceived need at Michigan State University for information about the religious community, particularly among incoming African-American students. It should be noted right from the outset that this is NOT an attempt to be divisive or segregationist. It is an attempt to help new students connect with the kind of religious communities that they are used to and thus provide them with valuable sources of support, encouragement and fellowship. The churches and ministries included were initially identified through the personal knowledge of the staff of Just for Christ Campus Ministry. Additional input was obtained through informal research. Our desire is that this directory will continue to grow more comprehensive and serve as a blessing to its users.
