The missing baby case of Lisa Irwin has sparked some really dumb questions, and I don’t mean from the investigators themselves, but questions surrounding the investigation being asked by the public as well as by Nancy Grace.
Dumb question about Lisa Irwin’s investigation by Nancy Grace: I witnessed this on her show last night. She asked a spokesperson (whom I believe was an attorney; I could be wrong), who was standing before Lisa Irwin’s home, WHY police were searching nearby woods and ponds.
What makes this a really dumb question is that Nancy Grace kept reiterating to the effect of, “A 10-month-old baby cannot just get up and walk to a pond or woods. WHY are they searching bodies of water and woods? How would 10-month-old Baby Lisa Irwin get out there?”
Well, Nancy Grace, here’s a tip: The investigators in the Lisa Irwin case have not ruled out the possibility that somebody murdered the baby and discarded her body in the woods or pond. Hello?
As a prosecutor, you should know that wooded areas and bodies of water are prime locations for “dumping a body.” Do you think that if Lisa Irwin was murdered, her killer would leave the body in the middle of a busy plaza where detectives could then harness it for forensic evidence? Not likely.
Dumb question about the video of Lisa Irwin’s mother, Deborah, in a store with a man purchasing wine: “Who was watching Lisa Irwin while her mother was in the store buying wine?” This stupid question has popped up on online comment boards as well as come from at least one caller to Nancy Grace.
