The mother of a teenage hockey player in California has been accused of sleeping with her son’s teammates.
ABC News reports that Katia Marie Davis is alleged to have had sexual intercourse and engaged in lewd acts with boys below the age of 16. The acts are alleged to have taken place at alcohol fueled sleepovers.
OC Weekly reports that one of the boys informed his mother about the allegations last week. An ensuing investigation by Orange County Sheriff’s Department found that Davis had been engaged in unlawful sex with the boy for the past year and a half.
KTLA.com reports the other boy, under the age of 14, who Davis is alleged to have committed the lewd acts with, came forward during the course of that investigation. The acts in question are alleged to have taken place six years ago.
Deputies arrested the 44-year-old last Wednesday, and the divorced mother of three is now free on $25,000 bail.
The New York Daily News reports that the Beach City Lightning hockey team’s president said the victims are no longer affiliated with the club. He added:
“We take the safety of the kids very seriously. Nothing like that is currently going on.”
KNSS Radio reports that police believe that there is a third victim, that is scheduled to be interviewed today.
